“Wild Things” by Alessia Cara is my theme song because it is about being yourself and not letting others tell you who you should be. I believe that Alessia wrote this song because she being a teenager herself and she knows that we can have a hard time having self confidence and believing in ourselves. Saying so, this song is relatable to me because my friends and I are different than some of the scholars I go to school with. We are quiet and do not like having the attention on us. In the song it says,”don’t wanna hang around the in crowd, the cool kids aren’t cool to me, they’re not cooler than we are”. That line is the definition of my thoughts. I am cool in my own way and nobody can change that about me. A life lesson that can be found in this song is that you are you and someone else should not tell you who to be. Be unique. Be strong. Stand out in your own way. So, do not let others tell you who to be. Be you.
Who I Am!
Welcome to my blog! I am 14 with the name of Jillian. I attend Beta Academy in Houston, Texas. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, watching YouTube, take lots of pictures, and do crafts. My best friends are Amy, Alexia L, Anaeli, and Ixtzel. We like to talk and laugh together as much as we can until one of us cries of laughter. When I watch YouTube I watch vlogs, do it yourself, and challenges. My favorite YouTubers are Jake Paul, Liza Koshy, and Adelaine Morin. Taking pictures for me is like therapy because I can take the pictures I want and the way I want. I do not have a dream camera for pictures but I do have a dream camera for vlogs. During my free time I do crafts that I find on Pinterest, YouTube, or make something up. My favorite type of craft that I enjoy the most is painting or making friendship bracelets. I have social media and my favorite one is either YouTube or SnapChat. YouTube is one of my favorites because on there anyone can be them and do not have to pretend to be someone else. SnapChat is a favorite too because just as YouTube you can be weird, yourself, and different. You can do whatever you want because your story is deleted twentyhours later. I am shy but once someone gets to know me I tend to ramble on and on. I also like to tell stories and laugh. Of course. I can also be weird and extra. ( as Amy would say ) I like to be different and stand out. My standing out may be a little different to others because I may stand out in a quiet way. I hope you got to know me better and enjoyed!
